It has been my "beater" watch and has suffered all sorts of indignities but still is in good shape. A couple years ago I noticed the watch would occasionally go into "recovery" mode if I used the light. Yesterday the problem escalated.

G-Shock batteries are large and easy to grab on. The holders are easy to unlock and lock. AC procedure is descibed in the most Gs with a sticker INSIDE the watch.

Sep 25, 2013 · Letting it go down to "LOW" damages the chemistry of the battery which will shorten its runtime from a full charge and shorten it's overall lifespan. The CTL-1616 battery is more than double the cost of a typical CR-2016 battery, but you're talking about $8 for the lowest street price. They are about $6 from PacParts.
